iPowow was used by the 9Network to interact with viewers during the 2011-2012 Summer of Cricket.
Branded as the Vodafone Viewers’ Verdict, iPowow engaged up to 12.6% of the viewing Audience (1 Million Viewers) and gave viewers the opportunity to pick Player of the Match and interact with the commentators in real time with the live results dynamically displayed on the television.

The Miss Universe live global TV show used iPowow to engage viewers around the world to score the contestants, during the telecast. Viewers cast a total of 23.6 million votes in just 9 minutes and spent an average of 23 minutes engaged with iPowow’s Second Screens.
Interactive adverts for LUX soap, created by Unilever, were pushed globally to the Second Screens during the commercial breaks.

iPowow was used by the 9Network in its weekly sports panel show. The viewers engaged with the hosts during the panel debate, with real time results displayed on the television. This created rich in-show content within the body of the program.

The American Music Awards in Los Angeles used iPowow as an instant ‘Hot Meter’ on the Red Carpet show. The TV presenters asked the viewers for their opinion and the fans used their Second Screens to vote with their fingers, second by second.
The ‘Hot Meter’ screens were branded, illustrating how sponsors can be incorporated into the iPowow experience.

Top Rank Boxing produced a live global telecast of their Pacquiao v Margarito fight from the Dallas Cowboy’s Stadium.
Top Rank used the iPowow voting platform during the fight to ask their global TV viewers ‘Who Will Win?’ Fans from over 100 countries answered instantly from their Second Screens and the combined results were revealed, second by second, on television.

UFC is the fastest growing, live TV sport in the world. UFC used the iPowow voting platform to ask their global TV viewers a question, such as picking the Fight of the Night or Who Will Win? Fans from over 100 countries, answered instantly from their smartphones and the combined results were revealed, second by second, on television.

Prior to co-founding iPowow, Ettienne was CEO of Big Bite Media Pty Ltd – a dynamic ambient outdoor advertising company. Ettienne was also CEO and Director at Business Backbone Pty under the umbrella of the world’s largest and most successful executive coaching organisation, ActionCoach.
As iPowow's CEO, Ettienne Fourie is responsible for day-to-day operations and leading the company from a start-up to a global leader in Participation Television.
Peter Tippett
Co-Founder, Chief Operations Officer
Peter has 25+ years in the IT industry which has involved owning a successful Accounting Software company for 15 years through to involvement in consulting, engineering and R&D Development in the corporate sector.
Peter was at Leap Legal Software looking after the development and management of the core business product of the business for 4 years before joining iPowow as the Technical Co-Founder. Peter is now iPowow�s COO, in charge of operations and strategic developments.
Keith Wyness
Business Development Director
Keith has worked on some of the world’s most iconic projects including Concorde, Radisson Diamond Cruises and the Sydney 2000 Olympics.
Keith has been CEO of 2 Premiership Football clubs in England and Scotland as well as holding positions on the board of both leagues. Having been involved in some of the largest broadcast and sponsorship deals in the sports world, and with a strong history in start-ups, Keith joins iPowow as Director of Business Development.
Chris Gardiner
Chief Financial Officer
Chris brings with her 25+ years of Financial Management skills, her strong sense of teamwork and a drive to achieve. Chris began her career at Price Waterhouse and has worked in senior financial roles in various large companies such as Ross Stores and Novell. In recent years she has worked primarily in small start-up companies such as OmniCell Technologies and as VP CFO at Connectix Corp. before its sale to Microsoft. At iPowow, Chris overseas all of the finance, accounting and human resource functions.
David Kierans
Chief Technology Officer
David has over 15 years experience architecting and delivering internet scale software applications and systems. Previously he held software engineering roles in various sectors including the TV broadcast, 4G network operators, Mobile Internet providers right through to building internet consumer portals for Telcos such as SingTel and Optus.
David is the architect of the iPowow platform and is responsible the iPowow technical strategy and delivery.
Gavin Douglas
Chief Creative Officer
Gavin is a multi-award winning Media Producer and Format Developer with over 15 years experience in content production and new format development across a variety of media platforms. He has written, produced, directed or edited over 30 TV series and worked on projects that link linear media with Future Media & Technology. As CCO at iPowow, Gavin oversees the development, design and creation of the next generation of interactive entertainment products.
Taras Didyk
Executive Producer - Australia/Asia
Taras is an ambitious go-getter whose career has spanned working as a Journalist, Magazine Editor, Publisher, Television Producer, Videographer and Editor. Within the realm of television, Taras has been responsible for creating formats and directing the creative on Australia’s largest and most iconic shows. As executive producer at iPowow, Taras plays a key role in development and works closely with clients and broadcast networks to ensure they maximize the viewer participation experience.
Colin Hornett
Executive Producer - North America
Born in England and raised in Canada, Colin's working life has included time as a Professional Snowboarder, Lawyer, Music Executive, Journalist, Filmmaker, and most recently as the Director of Digital Multimedia for the Miss Universe Organization. As executive producer at iPowow, Colin works closely with clients to ensure they maximize the viewer participation experience. He also plays a key role in the development of new products and platforms.
